Mario was a dedicated person throughout his life. He showed a perseverance and tenacity to achieve the goals he set for himself.

An amateur athlete, he regularly participated in snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hockey, cycling and running. Mario encouraged his children to participate in sports and supported their efforts. He was always the first to be a parent volunteer to help the organizers, no matter what the activity. As such, he would regularly be seen as a timekeeper, soccer coach, and a hockey or ski instructor.

His unceasing energy, and his outspoken and social nature allowed him to live life to its fullest and to work in a job that he loved. This is also why we will remember him as a dedicated person of integrity, who always gave the maximum of himself. He was deeply attached to his family, his country, his regiment, his peers, and to all for whom he was responsible.
